A scholarship for Ninoska
Educating a future scientist: In 2016 at the home in Huanta, Ninoska told us that her dream was to become a doctor, a pediatrician. Ninoska explained how difficult it was for the people in the rural areas of the Andes to find and be seen by a pediatrician. She is our age and we needed to help her. In 2017 she graduated #1 in her high school (secundaria) but had no funds to go on to the "academia," a preparatory study before college. We helped her and the nuns that care for her to fully fund her living and meal arrangements in Lima, tuition for a full 2year of college preparatory studies, books and other academic expenses. |
Ninoska in 2016
In early 2019 her hard work paid-off. Ninoska secured admission in the University Continental of Huancayo and is majoring in Biology to become a pathologist.
In Agust of 2020 she got a full scholarship (Continuidad de estudios Pronabec) for 1 year. Going forward: We will continue to help Ninoska's education. |
